We won! Barry Chiorello’s Second Story Productions, LLC recently won two international Pinnacle Awards from the International Festival and Events Association (IFEA) in the prestigious IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards competition. The Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards recognize outstanding accomplishments for festivals and events around the world. Barry Chiorello’s Second Story Productions, LLC won a SILVER AWARD for BEST AD SERIES and a BRONZE AWARD for BEST NEW PROMOTION. Both awards were for the “My Story Growing up Italian” promotion which we created for the Mercer County Italian American Festival.
“In listening to the stories my grandfather and father used to tell, I realized that most everyone had a story. By giving people, the festival’s potential attendees, a chance to share their stories, we could not only help them preserve their family memories, we could also add value to our media partner, increase credibility of the festival as a cultural event, drive people to the festival website, and generally increase awareness of the festival” noted Second Story Productions president Barry Chiorello.
The Pinnacle Awards competition draws entries from among the world’s top festivals and events. Winning entries came from organizations as diverse as the Cherry Creek Arts Festival in Denver, CO; the Kentucky Derby Festival in Louisville, KY; Baekje Cultural Festival in South Korea; the Ludwig Van Beethoven Easter Festival in Krakow, Poland; and Rotterdam Festivals in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
The International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) is the premiere trade association for festival & event professionals worldwide. In partnership with global affiliates, the association offers a complete source of information and education for the festivals and events industry.
